Overall Winner: Charleston

Achieving praise from MPT’s viewers, Charleston was voted Overall Winner – reflective of their rankings as one of the top 50 restaurants in the U.S. by Open Table diners. Founded by restaurateurs Tony Foreman and Chef Cindy Wolf in 1997, Charleston in the only Forbes Four-Star restaurant in Maryland. Two-time nominee for best chef mid-Atlantic by the James Beard Foundation, chef Wolf’s cuisine is backed by French fundamentals and grounded in preparations that emphasize the natural flavors of the very finest regional products. As a complement to the menu, Charleston boasts an extensive wine list, featuring more than 800 labels from around the world. Guests dining in the Palm Room or bar area are treated to a lovely view of the Baltimore waterfront and harbor. Charleston also offers private dining, from business functions to social occasions and celebrations. Foreman and Wolf are also the owners of PAZO, Petit Louis Bistro, Cinghiale, BIN 604 Wine Sellers and BIN 201 Wine Sellers. A new food and wine concept is slated to open in late fall to early winter 2011.
